My mum went in to Culrose in May 2015 . She had 16 months of first class care from the staff. She was 96 years of age and needed a certain amount of nursing which the staff were more than happy to administer although strictly speaking it's a residential home.

When I explained her needs the staff had no hesitation in offering the nursing she needed. I can't speak highly enough of the care she received. They made sure she had her hair done every week and the chiropodist tended her feet.

I live in the village and could go in every day at all times. But never did I go in there but what my mum had everything she needed to make her happy and comfortable. The nurse practitioner pays a visit every week to check on the residence health needs.

This is a small but very friendly home and you become one of their family. My mum unfortunately passed away in September very peacefully in her sleep. But she was loved and cared for to the end. I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone in need of care to go to Culrose, you won't be disappointed.

When we needed a care home for respite for my mother-in-law I phoned the home to be told we could go and view a freshly decorated room for her to stay in, and we viewed it and decided it was for us and for her to stay.

She was welcomed into the home by all very friendly staff and she has a lovely room and very good food, perfect 24hr attention and she has now decided to stay in the home permanently after receiving all the first class attention she has received.

My mother has been living in Culrose for 3 years, during this time she has been very happy. The staff are patient, caring and loving. There is regular entertainment and activities. The food is cooked on the premises and it is appropriate for the clients.

Recently the home has been upgraded and is looking much fresher and comfortable.

Culrose has a very calm, warm and friendly atmosphere. My father, although confused about many things, is grateful for the care he receives. With 20 residents, Culrose is small enough to be "homely" and not institutional and the Staff are always kind to residents and welcoming to visitors.

It is a difficult decision to "put your parent in a home" but my Dad and his family have been happy with our choice of Culrose.

Fantastic care of my elderly father. Could not ask for better attention.
